The Shack by William P. Young. This line from the book sums up my life:
Jesus smiled..."I will travel any road to find you."

I'd be Mitch Albom's The Five People You Meet in Heaven. I'd love to be an inspiration to a lot of people. This book definitely inspired me in more ways I could imagine. As I was reading it, it made me realize mistakes I made in the past that I'd rather not commit in the future. It's also full of quotable quotes that could very well pose as words of wisdom for our daily guidance.

"This Rock" by Robert Morgan

This book made me realize that there is hope at the end of the day--a hope that is formed from the fires of hard work and deep pain. It taught me on how to be slow to anger; and even slower to judge. And this book helped me to rededicate myself to my Lord & Saviour.

IF I WERE A BOOK, WHAT BOOK WOULD I BE?
I think I would like to be
The Reader's Digest Bedside Book on the Art Of Living, the stories in it would make you feel human again, in this day and age, the stories inspire, encourage and most of all champion the spirit of gratefulness people have for their fellowman, its a book replete of marketing slogans and feel good phrases, but it sure does allow you to delve into the lives of seemingly ordinary people and see how a little kindness can create such a profound and lasting change in the lives that they touch.

From a family that works hard and never complains, to a young doctor realizing that skills and talent are no match to real compassion and sincerity in service, the book goes on about stories of people who took chances on hopeless rebellious teenagers, turning them into an independent community of productive citizens.

The Reader's Digest Bedside Book On The Art Of Living changed my life and in a way, just like it's small obscure appearance, as I move along in this journey of life that the Lord has blessed us with, I pray that my life would be an epitome of real good service one that encouraged, when people are hurt, one that hoped when people are in turmoil, inspiring those that lack motivation, but most o all that I would be willing to sacrifice some of my own conveniences in order to allow someone to realize their full potential, its a lofty ideal I know, but dreams are free, and faith, after all, is the evidence of things not seen.

Romans 12

9Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
10Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.
11Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
13Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
14Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
15Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.
16Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[c] Do not be conceited.

So there goes the marching orders, that sums it all up for me hehe The Reader's Digest Bedside Book On The Art Of Living just made it crystal clear as to what person I should be =)

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams

A pretty-much "normal" guy loses his home, his planet, gets rescued by his friend who turns out to be an alien. He visits faraway planets, meets crazy aliens and gets caught up in insane situations, usually involving life-threatening scenarios.. and his chances of surviving it all is tied up in One Book, with the words "DON'T PANIC" written on the front in big friendly letters.

Yep. that's me.

I'd be the Ted Dekker TRILOGY, Red White and Black. Life for me has been as exciting as those books. LOTR type epic story with a Modern Global Military Emergency-you can't get more exciting than that. Or Probably You Can.

To think of the possibilities that lay before me and the impossibilities that I have passed by - things I used to say "I can't do that or that can't happen" are a reality for me now. Life is good, but like the story it's never lacking of any challenges. :)

i'll be the RED SEA RULE book. It tells how God saved & brought Israelites to the promised land. The 10 rules would encourage each of us in facing difficult times in our lives. It's so relevant even in our present lives.

If I were a book, I'd be A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Why then?

It tells of the story of Sara Crewe, who was made to live a life far from what she should have lived after her father's death. But even if such's the case, she remained to be a princess even in "rags and tatters" for she knew full well of who she is despite the situations.

I'd be THE DREAM GIVER by Bruce Wilkinson... I relate so much to the Nobody called Ordinary, who had a Dream beating in his heart, given by the Dream Giver, to become a Somebody in his own Promised Land. Like him, I was awakened by the Dream Giver to realize that I have a Dream in the corner of my heart... like Ordinary, I took the chance to go out of my Comfort Zone, face and defeat my Border Bullies, meet Champions who have pursued their dreams before me, and now I'm on my way to my Promised Land.

Try reading THE DREAM GIVER and see how you can get the Ordinary in you to become a Somebody in your own Promised Land. :)

THE THREE FACES OF EVE is a 1957 book and film loosely based on the true story of Chris Costner-Sizemore, a woman who suffered multiple personality or dissociative identity disorder.

I'm Eve because I live in this world of ups and downs that's making me go nuts. There's me the daughter, the friend, the employee, the sister... etc etc.etc. You get the drift.

For each person I face, I must act according. Here is Fifi dealing with a dominant person: "Ah yeah? Talaga? Really? Yes?"

Here's Fifi dealing with a quiet dormant mouse: "What are you thinking? What's your opinion on this? Would you rather do this or this?"

And here's Fifi dealing with all these chaos: "AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

At the end of the book, one personality emerges the winner. It's Jane, the personality that was able to integrate Eve White and Eve Black into one holistic individual.

I am the book because it is my desire to pick the best out of each role I have. To eventually assimilate all that I am into a non-crazy, sensible, and holistic me!

By the way, it's Fifi the Psycho, who's answering this contest. :)

Yah! Late ako! Sorry guys...what with work, the kids and their homework, etc. etc., I didn't have time to log in. Excuses, excuses. Well, since I'm out of the running, can I just say what book I'd like to be? Right now I want to be either Supernanny by Joe Frost or "Kit. Keep It Together Before Chaos...A Home Management Manual by Frannie S. Daez. Wishful thinking!
